Evo-Detailing 431 Skrevet 22 August, 2011 Rapporter Share Skrevet 22 August, 2011 An interesting topic name for a very dear (to me) detail job. The car in question is an A5 - sportback i guess it's called. I'm not much a fan of german engineering but this car really has the looks. What I liked about the car was the S-line bodykit, which in my oppinion fits it perfectly. The initial condition : Wash & Clay Process, using the usual 2BM - CG Maxi Suds II Sonax Full Efect CG Grime Raper Clearcote Red Moose - paint cleaner Wheels : Sonax Spray : On the lower half of the door I sprayed CG Green Clean and left it to do its thing for 5 mins or so After the wash & drying, the car looked like this. I did not took any pics during the wash because it began to get really hot and the water was drying very very fast Being a car that has been well cared, the clay did not lift any dirt from the paint, so I decided to use a paint cleaner to do the job. The correction was made in only one step using a finish combo (106FA on a 3M blue pad). 3/4 passes on the horozontal panels and, 5/6 on the laterals of the car. After that, the final result was acchieved using a red LC pad and 85rd, with very light pressure and slow passing speed. Before the correction i did a IPA wipedown on all the car in order to remove the remains of the paint cleaner Some of the few pics i took on the correction stage. Audi day at the garage Back to the paint correction. The only way I could get the camera to focus was to insert the antena in the pic We needed to open the garage door in order to get one of the cars out, an opportunity for me to take some sun shots Nice... Flake pop Reflection : Left side done. Some pics that i really really like. 2 layers of CG xxx were the LSP of choice. Each of the wax layers was left to cure for about half an hour. After buffing the second one I obtained this : The tyres got 2 layers of CG Natural Shine, the seals were treated with Gummi. The front of the car was protected with Venture Shield protective film. 3 days working more than 10 hours/day got me to these final results Enjoy ! Knutis 763 Skrevet 22 August, 2011 Rapporter Share Skrevet 22 August, 2011 Nice job on a nice car. Did you do anything to the rear lights? I have usually stopped masking them because I polish all of them with the same combo I use on paint. Siter Knutis' maskintråd Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider
Evo-Detailing 431 Skrevet 22 August, 2011 Forfatter Rapporter Share Skrevet 22 August, 2011 On this one I did absolutely nothing. The car was in a good sate as were the rear lights. After the car was waxed, i applyed one thin layer of CG M-Seal. Siter Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider

Evo-Detailing 431 Skrevet 28 August, 2011 Forfatter Rapporter Share Skrevet 28 August, 2011 I always use Green Clean, even on the paint, in order to help cleaning the car. It is very important not to let the product dry on the paint. If that happens it could result in stains which are difficult to remove. Otherwise it helps alot, it's same as using a snowfoam in my oppinion. Thank you very much. Siter Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider
