Evo-Detailing 431 Skrevet 26 Desember, 2014 Rapporter Share Skrevet 26 Desember, 2014 Hello friends, long time no see . I haven't posted here in a while, been busy developing some projects i am working on, motorsport & stuff, not so much focused on detailing lately, but, this will change. The car in this thread is a dream of any car enthusiast, and detailer in the same way. So, long storry short Washing : - CG Maxi Suds II - Meg's APC - Wash mitt microfiber with noodles - Few Brushes Claying was carried out with Meg's Aggressive clay and ONR as lube; Since i only had time for the paint correction test, i'we used : - RUPES 21 ES - RUPES BigFoot 21 - 3M FCP - 3M Extrafine - Meg's 101 - Meg's 205 - Menz 106FA - Pads : 3M, Meg's, Mirka and LC On arrival : The front of the car and all the areas exposed to stonechips are covered in film, so extra care needed here. Being a sports car, the brake dust is no wonder Even through the dirt you could spot some of the the defects : But at least we have carbon rear spoiler Moved onto the wash area of the shop. 1Rst job, light ! 2nd job, wheels Rinsed Brake ! Apc on the intricate areas like the door seals and fuel cap. Since the possible inflicted defects by the wash are not a concern, i only used one bucket Rinsed again Calying Already lookin miles better (from a distance). Rinsed & dryed again. Defects Hunter Ugly ass mother fucker Back in the paint correction area for tests concerning pad + polish + method. Rear right fender, test area one. First hit BigFoot 21 + 3M Blue pad + i cannot remember what polish Result : Not good, second try, Meg's 101, Meg's cutting pad on rotary this time. This should do ! Finish Meg's 205 on a Mirka pad using BigFoot. Corect ! Untouched door vs corrected door. On the trunk lid we began from : and obtained : The rest of the detail will follow in the coming thays. Until then, Enjoy ! Alex Lascu Evolution Detailing Bucharest 20 Siter Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider

Tommy 6 673 Skrevet 27 Desember, 2014 Rapporter Share Skrevet 27 Desember, 2014 Looking good, but you should drop the red MG clay bar, that have made the most of these marrings on the bonnet, i think it is way too agressive to use, there are many other clay bars that do just as well a job, but without all the marrings on the paint. 1 Siter Tommy TOMMY'S CAR SPA FOUNDERSWISSVAX CERTIFIED DETAILER SWISSVAX CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR DCN APPROVED DETAILER 2017 RUPES AMBASSADOR RUPES ADVANCED LEVEL INSTRUCTOR Tommy's CAR SPA (facebook) Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider
Evo-Detailing 431 Skrevet 27 Desember, 2014 Forfatter Rapporter Share Skrevet 27 Desember, 2014 The defects inflicted by the clay are a great amount, yes, but since we are speaking of clay, and marrings, they are easily removed even with a finishing combo, and they do not influence the work i carry on the car. Usually due to the heavy contamination here in Romania, i prefer to use this kind of technique. Lighter clays i use only when the car comes in for claying and wax. Thanks for the tip ! Evo-Detailing 431 Skrevet 28 Desember, 2014 Forfatter Rapporter Share Skrevet 28 Desember, 2014 Thanks . I have this detailing shop -Evolution Detailing- since 2008. However it is not my main job. It is one of them. I will try in 2015 to focus more on detailing. Concerning the machines. The rotary is like a tank, it cuts, it has power, it keeps the rpm constant no matter the pressure, so i would say it is a good, even a very good tool. The BigFoot for me is a bit of a dissapointment. Everybody in the detailing world praises this machine and the work it can do. Nobody says the real truth thoe. What i mean. Maybe in a world like the us or the uk it is a great tool ar removing defects. But since here, in Romania we have quite severe defects, this machine does not cope with the task. I have tryed diferent techniquies and pad + polish combos but to the same result. It finishes miles better than a rotary (but all orbitals do), and that's about it. Yes it is light, it is easy to manover but, in removing defects lacks power. This Porsche for example is a car with minor defects compared to the average here. So even to this one, the BigFoot did nothing, or almost nothing. I boughit it because is the thool to have not because i am or was convinced of its capabilities. Maybe you could obtain same results using the BigFoot, but it will for sure take longer. And since the advertise says reduced working time bla bla bla, it is, at least in my opinion a biiiig lye. Auto Premium 0 Skrevet 28 Desember, 2014 Rapporter Share Skrevet 28 Desember, 2014 Yeah. I asked my suppliers to give it to me big foot for testing. I respect it, but i dont need it. It takes to much time to get a perfect result if we talking about scratches. Especially if we talking about ceramic clears. I use rotary machine for the big job til he last touch and the finish i make with orbital 6mm sandingmachine using polishing pad. Thats all. Evo-Detailing 431 Skrevet 18 Januar, 2015 Forfatter Rapporter Share Skrevet 18 Januar, 2015 Sorry to be late, but I had so much work to do that I could not spare 20 minutes to write this down. So, without further do, here goes . Since on the hood and test fender I established the correct method for removing defects, all I had to do was to aply that to the whole car. Quite happy On the roof the left overs of some bird poo removed not so properly left these marks. Due to the fact that they were quite deep, I hat to run on higher speed, and because of that, unlike the way i like, I left some holos. Later to be removed. At least the ugly RDS were gone Rear left fender before : Product haze After Drivers door After Nice reflection as well The mirrost began like this And finished like this The rear spoiler, which on the adjustable part is carbon. In order to polish around the GT3 badge I had to remove it. Used a heat gun to bring up the temperature a bit and make the adhesive a little bit more flexible Then, using a fishing string I removed the badges And I was left with this Easily removed by an glue remover and a scraper. Compounded looked like so The clear film on the front of the car was also compounded. More translucent, this gave a better reflection. On the other side of the roof Nice i would say ! Degreased & washed the car once again. The left overs from the compound were removed like this. Then back to the paint correction area for drying. As always Meg's 21 Few outside photos, sadly no sun that day No real sun, but I had the carry on sun with me Do you even reflect ? I cleaned the interior as well. Sorry to be late with the storry Enjoy ! 6 Siter Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider
