Evo-Detailing 431 Skrevet 20 August, 2011 Rapporter Share Skrevet 20 August, 2011 Honestly, I did not expect such a good feedback from you guys at the Toyota post. So as a consequence of that, here is a work I did a while ago. I have spent 3 days working on this car, more than 25 working hours that is. The initial state was something like this : Closer. you can see more defects : 2Bm - CG Maxi SudsII, wash mitt Sonus APC - CG GreenClean Sonus Green - clay ONR, as lube. After the wash - results - Curious, fingerprints in the clearcoat... wierd... Being cleaner now, the paint showed little more defects, this being the way the paint looked over the entyre car. Of course there were areas which showed more severe defects, like these : Test area - the trunk lid, 3M FCP + Orange LC pad were the weapons of choice Corrected : Flashlight (no IPA or LSP) The roof : B4 After compounding : Larger view : 50/50 Macro activated : Abstraaact Reflection with no finish : 50/50 Result : Swirls buffer trails : Remember her ? All gone now Untouched door vs corrected fender More photos Mirroring Honda Finish 106FA on black Mirka pad. CG XXX, left to cure about one hour Alex Lascu EVOLUTION DETAILING 32 Siter Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider
Oluf 328 Skrevet 20 August, 2011 Rapporter Share Skrevet 20 August, 2011 (endret) Good work there, the paint really needed some treatment! About the finger prints, my girlfriends black Golf had exactly the same looking fingerprints on the back right door. I tried various of degreaser's and even clay, but nothing removed them. Scholl S03 Gold compound did the trick though. It really seemed like the fingerprints had etched to the paintwork. Someone with bad PH value on their hands must have touched the paint i suppose Endret 20 August, 2011 av Bilpleie gærning Siter Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider

Evo-Detailing 431 Skrevet 21 August, 2011 Forfatter Rapporter Share Skrevet 21 August, 2011 1'rst of all I want to thank you for the appreciation of my work. The fingerprints, have an explanation. Somebody touched the panel while the paint was still fresh, as that door had been resprayed. I only could remove them by WS and then polish. @Bernhard - Hello back to you (from the reflection), and yes, being a Merc, and quite a new one it has that ceramic clearcoat which is very hard to correct, but once done... "Shine Happens" Thank you. Siter Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider
Forhandlere Bernhard 2 385 Skrevet 21 August, 2011 Forhandlere Rapporter Share Skrevet 21 August, 2011 I figured so, how many hours did you use? The one i did was very banged up, so I used around 30 hours just on the paint, I did 6-8 hits with Scholl S3Gold and yellow Scholl cutting pad on each panel. But your result looks superb, so keep up the good work and keep 'em coming Siter Facebook: Brynildsen Autospa Hjemmeside: Brynildsen Autospa Hjemmeside: BAS-ShopAudi RS6 Ducati 1199 Panigale S Audi Q7 S-line BMW 318D Ferrari 360 Modena BMW E92 320D Lemansblau Audi A8 D3 4.2 Quattro Audi A4 B7 Granatrød Audi RS4 Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider

Essiek 385 Skrevet 21 August, 2011 Rapporter Share Skrevet 21 August, 2011 Good work! I've also seen fingerprints in the clear coat, but that was from (believe it or not) someone with urine on their fingers having hold onto the door for a few minutes (a very drunk idiot). People with hands full of sunscreen lotion also leave nasty marks in the clear coat.... Siter Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider
Evo-Detailing 431 Skrevet 21 August, 2011 Forfatter Rapporter Share Skrevet 21 August, 2011 About sunscreen lotion I haven't heard yet, I knew about urine, and it is true, you wouldn't belove how corrosive that stuff is. Thank you very much for the good words, most appreciated. @Bernhard - the time it took, as I said in the first post, it was somewhere over 25 hours. Since I don't have Scholl products yet, I used Menz S100 on a white LC pad, and in places the S100 was replaced by F500 (which, in my opinion is quite the same, the only difference being that F500 does not produce so much dust, and because of that you cand work it for long. Longer passes mean better correction in that case. The FCP that I tryed on the trunk left me with too deep marks, and those were quite difficult to remove).
